I know there hasn’t been much steady activity on my site the past while but hey; I’ve been busy too! As some people know, I have done quite a bit of work with one model this last summer. After the first couple test shoots, I’ve used her almost exclusively depending on the assignment. She’s got expressions and poses that are seamlessly congruent to the intended story. This is the kind of model who is able to project the mood before I even finish explaining the intention. At this point she prefers to maintain self-representation, which is good for me – otherwise she’d be too busy, flying around the country no doubt.
I have to salute all the boys and girls out there who make their way in this world by contorting their soon-to-be transfixed ego in front of the camera, finally submitting to sometimes unusually strange requests from oddball photographer’s. Although isn’t that what ego’s are for?
Here’s a few from a couple shoots in slideshow format just for fun.

FANTASTIC! The music deepens the mood of each image perfectly.
Hola, cómo puedo obtener uno de la foto en su sitio?
Hello Camille,

or email me directly at: warthog@warthogphoto.com
I like the style you took. I don’t typically see photography portrayed so concise and enlightening.
Awesome photography on an awesome website. What more is there to say ?
Nice work. What equipment do you use? Particularly your lighting and your choice of lenses. I love the slideshow.
Hi Reg, thanks for the compliment.
Most of my stuff is made by nikon. For the lighting I believe I mainly used SB-900’s naked as well as behind various modifiers. Shoot through and reflective umbrella’s and a 24″ softbox if I remember correctly. Speaking of softboxes the Lastolite Ezybox is worth every penny if you do on location work. Otherwise I use standard reflectors or cloth/silk’s or anything that’ll bounce filter or diffuse light.
By far my favourite lens for people so far is the 70-200 / 2.8VR AFS. Most everything I do is with this puppy.
A couple of the shots would have been on the 50 1.4AFS. Great DOF (or lack thereof) as long as you watch out for distortion when you start working tight. I suspect my 1.8D has even less distortion and is also somewhere around $500 cheaper! The 1.8 was one of my first lenses and I plan to keep on using it.
For the wide angle, they were on the 14-24 2.8AFS. This is one I’m sure I will never get rid of.
All images were shot on a full frame digital body.
All this talk of gear makes me realize how carried away one can get with ’stuff’. Someday I may end up shooting only with one or two lenses and an old 35mm FE body.
