A few days ago I worked with a model who recently moved into the area from Vancouver. We managed to squeeze some time in between the spurts of rain we’ve been getting these past few days. It’s not every day an opportunity is presented to use contrast between red and green like this.

I covered the fashion show that the museum held for a benefit a while ago. They were showing off their old clothing items. The hall was so poorly lit people had to carry flashlights around to see! (well… almost) I had 3 sb600’s set up; one on each side behind me and one to camera right about half way down to add some rimlight. It was dim enough in there to command them with an SB900. More power from my lights would have helped get rid of the funky colors as well as darken the distracting background but recycle time would have been too slow for the pace of the event. Next time bigger lights.

Welcome to Warthog Photography on the web. It’s currently a work in progress but until things are fully up and running, here’s the introductory test post.
